“You don’t need a title. Be a servant of the Lord and your passion will come to you.”

I often struggle with this “title” of mine. Am I nurse, mother, aerialist, homeschool, crunchy-ish person? How can I be efficient at something when I dabble in so much? Someone once told me, “you can know some things about a lot of things and that’s okay!” It’s a gift and a curse to be interested in SO many things. I cannot do it all perfectly, but I can do somethings well enough. I am trying to listen to what God wants me to do but I am still struggling with where He places me.

Here is a bit of an update of the summer!- This summer is going by much too fast. I am so happy I can just sit here and type away. Appointments and outdoor activities fill our days. My youngest child just turned two and has a new feeding device in place. He is overall thriving and has gained so much “toddler spirit,” since. My eldest child has been at camp out in Pennysylvania for ten days. He will be on a bus back to MA tomorrow.

Antiochian Village feels like home away from home. I am thrilled he has spent the past two summers there. I look forward to hearing about the last couple of weeks when he returns. Update- I just had a call from AVcamp about a discretion my child had with another child. I felt so many emotions after this call, especially with him being so far away. Everyone is fine and to be honest, I am grateful I had this time to be calm and pray about how to handle this when he returns.

I will say I am happy that though a mistake was made, my son recovered by being remorseful and working out the situation with his peer. Watching your child, really God’s child, work through life and not being able to fix it for them is bitter-sweet. I would love another verb for what I am feeling, but I cannot find it. Recommendations are welcome! Thank God for husbands. He is the logical side of me.

Today, was a field trip day with the whole family, minus our oldest and plus Nana. We went to the aquarium and spent time with the sea creatures. I was able to draw a starfish while observing it against the glass. At first, I was critical about my drawing, but then I realized I was able to just exist in that moment and draw what I saw. I could appreciate God’s creation and interpret it onto paper.

I’ve started planning a tad bit for the homeschooling year of 2024-2025. Let’s see how this goes..I am planning to use Classical Conversations and Charlotte Mason again, but with a deeper understanding of CM’s works. I am nervous but we will just pray and take it moment by moment. My eldest already has it in his mind that he wants to work on his Arabic and piano skills.

What are your 2024-2024 school goals? Personal goals? I signed up for my FIRST 5K with most of my fam!
